Position summary

The Director, Security & Compliance will lead and mature Figg's Information Security Program. Figg maintains a SOC II and PCI compliant technology stack in a mature cloud environment. This role will enable Figg's continued commitment to the security and privacy of Figg's partners and member information, and continue to drive Figg's existing culture of security awareness.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Lead the development, revision, and implementation of Figg's security policies and procedures
  • Lead and manage Figg's relationships with auditors and strategic partners.
  • Partner with tech leadership by providing system security consultation regarding cloud-based environments advocating for mature DevSecOps implementations
  • Collaborate with internal business units on information security risk to inform, educate, and develop effective solutions to protect Figg's assets

The ideal candidate

  • 2+ years AWS administration with a focus on security
  • 7+ years of progressive work in the security and security compliance space
  • A solid understanding of the IT security vulnerabilities of financial organizations and their service providers
  • Working knowledge of information security frameworks and regulations (e.g., NIST RMF, ISO 27001:2013, SOC 2 Type II, PCI, etc.)
  • Strong knowledge of security strategy and risk management
  • Excellent organizational, verbal, and written communication skills


Bachelor's Degree preferred but not required
